Precision Surveys, Inc. now offers an even higher level of precision surveying with GPS Total Station. This system uses differential GPS, the newest, most acurate type of GPS. Our equipment from Trimble is allowing us to use GPS for more than just control and geodetic surveys. Now we can use GPS for topographic and detail surveys, stake out, and local control surveys. This new system increases accuracy and can make the difference on jobs that are under tight deadline constraints or in remote areas.

The GPS Total Stations are instruments that let surveyors perform multiple functions like previous Total Stations, yet add the accuracy of GPS. This system combines the GPS receiver technology with mobile data communications.

Unlike traditional, land-based total stations, target pointing is never necessary with GPS Total Station. This means surveying can be done around geographic or buildings. That's because GPS can "see" around rough terrain, over hills, or other obstacles. In addition to differential GPS, we can still provide high accuracy static surveys with conventional GPS. We can also perform fast static surveys with minimal occupation times.
